As any 90 Day Fiancé fan knows, Nicole Nafziger is a staple in the franchise. Nicole has been part of the TLC reality series since its early days, chronicling her long-distance romance with Azan Tefou, who’s from Morocco. While the pair has faced their share of ups and downs, one initial struggle was Azan wanting Nicole to work out — when she’d rather be relaxing.
During a confessional, Nicole explained, “This isn’t what I was planning on doing on my vacation — to go to the gym. But I’m not opposed to working out, so for him, I think I’ll go and hopefully I don’t completely hate it.” And so, she went with Azan to the gym on-camera. Nicole later clarified it wasn’t just for her fiancé: “I’m doing it for myself, because I know I want to be healthy and I want to be in shape… I want this for me.”
That episode aired back in 2018, and in the time since, she’s seemingly made wellness more of a part of her routine. While, of course, no one should change for someone else, what matters most is that Nicole feels happy and healthy — for her own sake. Even Nicole emphasized on the show, “I want to be healthy, but I don’t think I need to change myself for a man for him to love me, because if he loves me, he should love me for who I am.”
Let’s take a closer look at Nicole’s physical transformation, as she’s documented online.
Nicole Nafziger preaches a message of self-love — 'chubbiness and all'
Sure, 90 Day star Nicole Nafziger may have initially hit the gym at fiancé Azan Tefou’s request, but she’s embarked on a whole “wellness journey” since, per her Instagram page. Nicole is among many influencers who use detox teas — or at least advertise them. It’s worth noting that Teen Vogue reported such products can be harmful, and Good Place actress Jamila Jameel is very vocal about the tea’s potential dangers.
Nevertheless, here’s what Nicole wrote in her IG ad, “I’m on a wellness journey with @FlatTummyCo and this Metabolism Support Iced Tea is everything I needed… It’s packed with antioxidants designed to help boost metabolism, speed energy, and support digestion and I’m HERE FOR IT.”
While the detox tea promotion is questionable, Nicole has shared other content that’ll warm even the coldest of hearts. She wrote on Instagram in September 2020, “Was loving myself in this outfit the other day, chubbiness and all♥️💕😇 #selflove.” The reality star hit the nail on the head with that — self-love is more important than any number on the scale.
Based on their supportive responses, Nicole’s fans feel the same way. One person wrote, “You’re gorgeous mama and dont let anyone tell you otherwise,” while another added, “You have lived all of these years, carried and given birth to a child, traveled across the world all with this body… Keep doing you, Nicole. Your body is perfect, always.” Cheers to that!
